A look at the TV show Top Gear.

Top Gear originally started in 1977 as a straightforward magazine programme featuring a diverse range of presenters, a couple of which went on to present the Channel 5 rival motoring show 'Fifth Gear'. During 2002 the popular car show was revamped to be set in a studio with a heavier emphasis on the program's unique humour and the character traits of presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. One of the most popular aspects of the show is the unconventional tests they carry on on the various vehicles, like the infamous episode where Top Gear reviewed the Toyota Hilux. The tests varied from causing the car to hit a tree to hitting it with a wrecking ball. Top Gear is a must see for any true fan of motoring.
